We sanded the walls for a long, long time.
Lessons re-learned - A quick application of mud, meaning not a smooth one, does not make things any easier. It's much harder to sand than to apply.
Putting up plastic is a good idea. Also, close every door possible, even the ones you don't think necessary. There will be dust everywhere.
Be prepared to have every bit of moisture sucked out of your body. There will be much slathering of shea butter.
Also, every facial orifice will be clogged with said dust. That means ears too. And the snot is gross...lol.
The clean-up takes almost as long as the job itself.
Give up on thinking you will ever get rid of all this stuff. Hope your vacuum motor doesn't burn out.
And so we continue with priming....yessss.
