So the priming got wrapped up...
...we were so glad to get through the ceilings. We put on primer and then flat. Much better.
A huge chunk of plaster came down from this section of the ceiling in the dining/great room. I can't believe I don't have a before picture! It was awful - but not now. I was excited that it patched so well.
Time to choose color for the front bedroom! The winner was Silver Strand, on the far right.
Lovely.
Mom came over one day and helped scrub the floor and pick off old paint spots. There was a lot to do, and the floor was really dried out.
Nice coat of wax put on, and buffed to a sheen. Yeah!
This is Palm Breeze, a nice calming pale green.
I'm realizing how hard it is to take good house pics! The lighting has to be just right.
Then started the saga of choosing a neutral for the great room. It proved to be a daunting task, if only because Behr had trouble providing accurate samples. After much ado about nothing, and ending up back at square one, we decided to go to Lowe's and get Drumskin, the color we put in out front room.
Wet meets dry on the right. Ahh, now that's purty.
Here is Laura's room, the back bedroom. Cheery yellow.
Now we just have to touch up trim and I need to install some quarter round in here. Getting closer!
Then we tackle the kitchen. Gulp. Time to hasten, Jason. Christmas is around the corner!!
