Last week at library story time we had a lovely surprise...it was a play! One of our favorite books about Otis the tractor was presented by two of the Penguin Players, who do several shows at Dollywood during the summer. The kids were mesmerized. (Forward to 3:00 for the start of the story.)
So I hunted and searched and found out they were performing again at the Kingsport library. We invited Gable, who really really loves tractors, to meet us there. So fun...and pictures this time.
I think Gable really loved the calf. It was hard to say goodbye.
We all tried out the water fountain.
Went upstairs to check out the kids' dept.
Read fireman books in the firetruck.
And ran over to Splash Pad to enjoy the playground for a few minutes.
We said goodbye to our friends and trekked over to the Salvation Army, where we discovered the whole store was half off! We found a lot of good books and some rollerskates that Leon begged for. Only $2.50 for Nash. The shoes come unclipped too, they are pretty sweet.
