JR's has had squash for 99 cents a lb! How could I resist? First we had zucchini ribbons - you peel them into strips and blanche for 2 minutes...amazing. The boys loved it too, scarfed them down! Silas was prejudiced against the green strips, but he would eat the white since they looked like noodles. Leon kept asking me what it was, lol, and I kept dodging the question until he tried it.
A few nights later the boats did not go over so well, sigh. Maybe if they had cheese on top instead of panko.
