Getting dressed is a huge accomplishment most days. Almost always a battle, lol. They just want to run around in pj's or nothing, lol. We're finally digging out the summer digs and these shorts are some of Leon's favorites - they have a nice little clip for hanging things.
Of course Silas wanted some on too, despite them not fitting in the least.
Complete with bow tie.
Then Uncle Brad came for a visit and chilled out on the porch with us...until Leon thought it was time to "wrastle," as they say around here.
Little brother to his defense...
Lil tough guy
We ended the day by tackling a problem drainage spot and bamboo grove on the side of the house. Those runners can go on forever...these turned out to be almost 10 ft long and they are a bear to remove. Ugh. Never. ever. plant. bamboo. Not even if you think it's the "clumping" variety.
There's a huge mass of roots here....takes two people to get them out, one to pull and one to dig. The last time I did this I was pregnant with Leon. Aaron has been keeping the shoots cut back, and you can tell they are losing strength, so that's one stall tactic in dealing with them.
But I will reiterate...just don't plant it. Yes, they're pretty, and they are lovely in the winter and snow.
Not worth it, lol.
