Thursday we went out with Grammy and Pawpaw to the Gaylord Palms Resort, or whatever its called. They always have this ice exhibit that's fun to see, and a huge atrium that you could fit another hotel inside of. We spent a while just wandering around and looking at the critters.
The fish were fun....they would come up with gaping mouths and nibble on your fingers with rubbery lips. The boys worked up the courage to try a couple times.
More gators and turtles.
These are break ferns, from Hawaii I think? We've seen a few around here from time to time, I have a plant I'm trying to nurse back to health. So pretty, all the tropicals.
Larrrrrrge leaves.
After our little jaunt we had lunch at this amazing Mediterranean Buffet. The place was packed out with a group of 80 red-hatters, and other groups of 80 and 40. WIsh I had pics of the craziness in the buffet lines. I think Kathy and Aaron both got elbow checked by those ladies stampeding to the food. Anyway, it was one of the highlights of the trip, everything was so good and the desserts were to die for.
I didn't get any pictures of the ice exhibit because it was crazy trying to watch the boys and make sure they were warm enough in the 9' temps. Leon's coat didn't cover his hands, but he had handwarmers. However, after just a few minutes he was cold and ready to leave! I felt like I had to rush through everything...it was all I could do to slow him down. It didn't help that he saw the arcade beforehand, and wanted to go back and play on the motorcycles. Humph.
I have a few videos I'll try to get on Vimeo soon.
